Cloud platforms keep your data available. They are not a backup of it. Licensing here covers the second copy: the tenant, the servers and the laptops.
What can be licensed
- 01 Cloud backup for Microsoft 365
- Backup licensing for mail, files, sites and chat, so a deleted mailbox or an encrypted file share is recoverable on your terms.
- 02 Cloud backup for Google Workspace
- The same second copy for teams running on Workspace: mail, drive and shared drives.
- 03 Endpoint and server backup and disaster recovery
- BDR licensing for the machines that hold the work, covering laptops in the field as well as servers in a rack.
- 04 Business continuity and cyber protection
- Subscriptions that pair backup with recovery, for when the question stops being ‘is it backed up’ and starts being ‘how fast are we running again’.
